Hello, Miss Sutherland!
(everyone else, beware the Book Nine spoilers in this post)
So, I have read Book Nine, and after seeing/reading everything that happened in the book, and (spoilers) what Turtle had said to his sister Anemone, I started wondering . . . could it be possible that an animus dragon's soul could be damaged not by how often they use their magic, but what they use their magic for? That an animus can lose their soul to using their magic to do bad/hurtful/destructive things or perhaps using their power for who they know to be the wrong dragons? Whereas (theoretically) using their magic (even repeatedly) to do helpful, protective, non-violent things like healing other dragons for the unselfish sake of healing and helping would leave their soul unharmed?
Just a thought I've had after that fight/animus duel scene between Turtle and Anemone.
I look forward to reading Book Ten! :)
