Long story short we made a combined writing thread :D
Prompts are appreciated, as I only have a few left! When you suggest them, do it like "For Vine" and "For Snowbelle" though!
Alright, here's something we have been working on for awhile and never got to writing.
My tattoo pulsed as I ran by the town of Possibility.
Someday I'll find you, my love. We'll be together.I thought wistfully of what he was like, and why he lived in Possibility. So many questions. Not enough answers.
I brushed the thought aside again. Right. Focus. You're almost there.
Pots and jars clattered inside my bag, each one painstakingly carved, with my talons shaking like the Dragonbite Viper's tail. My heart rattled like ice cubes, pounding against my chest, adrenaline kicking in.
I was tired. I was really tired. But if I could sell these for a good price, I could buy Mother, Father, Dustbowl, and I a nice home and food everyday in Possibility. Stop lying, I scolded myself. Yes, the real reason I wanted to move to Possibility to meet my soulmate.
The tattoos never lied. They worked with Mother and Father, and Dustbowl's girlfriend was found by the tattoo. I heard she was expecting eggs too. I know with their vast knowledge, as broad and wise as the night sky, they would work for me too. Even though sometimes I felt like I was just a small flower, only regarded for my beauty, I knew my soulmate wouldn't think so. I brushed the neighboring dragon's flirts off, as my tattoo felt no connection to them, which meant we weren't meant to be. But they would find their soulmate someday too, and be happy.
Possibility always made my tattoo pulse. The closer I got, the more at felt like it was bouncing off my wrist, into the city. I wonder if his tattoo felt like that when I passed by. He surely wouldn't be looking outside everyday just to find me. No, that was ridiculous. Almost all dragons found their soulmate and lived happily.
Unless he was like a stone in the creek. Floating away before I could ever reach him.
I continued to run, and realized I had dazed off yet again, thinking of my soulmate.
The bag was feeling heavy in my talons, and I ignored the pain, though it wasn't even close to the amount of curiosity and desire I had to meet him. I sighed wistfully again, and my tattoo stopped pulsing as I passed Possibility, and it became a speck like a star in the night sky.
"Hey! Where do you think you're going?" A voice called out, and I shook involuntarily. Scared as I was, I kept running, hoping whoever it was would stop talking to me. My plan was to get home by tomorrow and the sun was already starting to set.
I tried to remember my notes about the SandWing Kingdom Traveling Guide.
If you hear hissing and rattling, fly very high and into the nearest town.
Talking to strangers is dangerous.
Always bring water.
Carrying big bags sometimes attracts thieves. I looked down at my big bag.
Traveling at night, alone attracts thieves. I looked at the setting sun, disappearing into the clouds like streaks of orange and purple painted over the bright light.
A talon grabbed my arm.
I tried to run, but I couldn't. They were too strong. Fully grown or teenagers, most likely. I couldn't remember what the book said about escaping thieves. I tried to turn my head, but another dragon faced me. His obsidian black eyes pierced into mine, so strong it was like I was being headbutted. I couldn't move. I was trapped.
I grasped onto my bag. The dragon facing me was large and muscular, two bone tattoos next by both his eyes. The Bone Trio, I thought fearfully. The book mentioned a notorious group of thieves that attacked in the night and took valuable belongings. I shook with fear, and felt like I was in a land as cold as the Ice Kingdom. I searched for his soulmate tattoo, which was dark and on his leg. His soulmate was in trouble. Or dead, like I'm about to be.
He glared at me, his teeth gritting, and slowly moved towards me like an iceberg drifting across the sea. "Thanks for stopping by. Now who are you?" He growled, putting his talon under my chin. I tried to form words, but ended up mumbling.
"I'm.. I'm Fennec. I-I'll give you the belongings... just please let me go," I said. I didn't care about the money anymore. I needed to get home. Now. I felt as if the dark sky ws closing in on me as the last streaks of orange and purple were erased by the powerful being called nature.
He chuckled. It was the worst sound I'd ever heard. It echoed in my ears like a powerful earthquake would. It made me shake again, like I was going to erupt. "Well, thanks for offering it!" He snapped, and the minions let go of me, and he stepped back.
This is your chance. Stay safe, and get money for your family. You'll be loved and appreciated.
Faster than I ever had in my life. I ignored the roars of the trio, and even the pain as the leader managed to stab my wing as I ran away.
I ran thinking my soulmate was ahead of me.
I ran thinking I would live.
I ran to the edge of a roaring river.
The trio approached me, growling and hissing, putting their tails up.
Voices inside my head yelled, drowning out the voices of the angry trio.
WOW I ACTUALLY DID IT VINE! :D
