Hi Oncilla, I don't think I've ever seen you post on here

I honestly didn't know a post could be that late either

it was fun though! That entire week was pretty tiring but it was fun

yesterday I was out basically the entire day in nyc! I've been there a bunch of times, but I think that was the first day I've ever been in the city for more than five hours

I mean the first portion of the day was spent on business opportunities so I didn't do much then

We did end up going to Byrant Park and the library though

Plus there was Times Square which gave me a headache like always

"Change your perspective- and the reality changes."

I started Persona 3 now

I honestly had no idea whether to watch P3 FES or P3P but I ended up choosing FES to watch

I really don’t have much to say yet since I already knew about the gun thing from my friend and there’s not exactly much else at the moment, plot-wise

oh if I disappear for the rest of the day it’s because I’m volunteering

I've never watched Persona 3 but I pretty much know all that happens already just from reading about it

ooh volunteering

i hope it goes well!

Thanks!

Yesterday I just helped out with the event at my public library called “Water Olympics”

It was essentially a bunch of relays done with water buckets for little kids

And there were ice pops that we volunteers were able to “steal” once the kids all took one

in P3 there’s this one social link that’s basically a p2 reference

I mean I haven’t seen p2 yet but from my friend I’ve heard all the names mentioned in it before

Honestly the ghost boy’s eyes are the most unsettling thing about him

Other than that he’s just there to tell you about the moon cycle which the game tells you anyway

The music in p3 really matches its atmosphere, like the music in p4 and p5

It’s not exactly my favorite but it’s nice

Junpei is annoying honestly

Yosuke and Ryuji are much better “bro” characters than he is in my opinion

But it kinda feels like the characters are all one strange family since they all live in the same dorm building

I’m curious as to how they just randomly find Persona users (not including the protagonist since that was right in front of their eyes) though since I thought you needed the Evoker or something similar to summon your Persona? Do people just figure that out normally???

I saw a p4 AU project teaser trailer where Yukiko was the killer and I think I lost it because poor Chie

And also I never realized I liked Chie and Yukiko so much until watching it wow

P3 is actually pretty straightforward, I still don’t have much to comment on

Or maybe I’m just lazy I’ve been feeling that way a lot recently

I’m honestly surprised nobody gave any objections to breaking the mirrors in the hotel

I mean are you guys just going to causally break property

I know it’s for a good cause but still

Mitsuru is probably up to something shady but she’s still my favorite character as of now

Akihiko is pretty much tied for that spot as well

I have nothing against Fuuka (she’s honestly such a good girl) but I like Mitsuru and Akihiko a bit more

Yukari and Junpei are,,, not my favorite “starting duo”

Generic “if I disappear it’s because my mood crashed” warning

And because my mood crashed I’m not going to continue watching p3 for now since arguments/fights between people who are close aren’t good for my mental/emotional health and I feel like there’s two fights between characters coming up

so in the meantime I’m reading this random manga known as Case Closed!, which is about a high school ace detective who turns into an elementary schooler because of some malfunctioning drug

It’s good, I guess? I’m too lazy to describe it properly at the moment

There’s one case in the first volume that reminded me of Nagito’s trial

Oh I've binged Case Closed/Detective Conan for a while now

It's fun, none of the cases are too complicated but you're still uncertain until the end

Yup, that's exactly why I enjoy it

I just read some more and I noticed something in the author's note

The Japanese name of Rachel's dad is "Kogoro", from the fictional detective Kogoro Akechi

If that's not where Akechi's (just to be clear, I'm talking about pancake boy) name comes from, I'll be surprised

I keep forgetting to mention this but I remembered this time! In p4's true ending, Izanami mentioned that she picked out the Persona users because of the immense amount of hope, despair, and emptiness inside of them respectively (she says it as a part of the dungeon dialogue, I think)

Obviously "hope" corresponds to the protagonist, but I'm somewhat confused as to which one is "despair", and which one is "emptiness"

Namatame fits both criteria pretty well but the killer doesn't really match either (although he might be closer to "emptiness" rather than "despair" in my opinion?)

actually nevermind me rambling that's probably it

yah that's what his name is based on

also you're right

Namatame threw people into the tv b/c he felt despair of not being able to help people, so he would fall under that category

more specifically, the killer killed people because they were bored of the world and didn't feel any kind of remorse, showing them to be completely empty on the inside, whereas namatame was filled with grief which fueled his actions
