My beautiful and brilliant editor said yes! So I am allowed to tell you that the dragon on the cover of Book 11 is from a tribe called...
(DRUMROLL PLEASE...)

Also, we'll be having an official full cover art reveal on the forums very soon, so stay tuned for that...it is SOOOOOOO beautiful! It might even be my favorite cover so far (although that's a tough competition!). I can't wait for you to see it!

Tui, are there more Legends planned?
Also, can you please clarify how age gaps in relationships and aging as a whole works in Pyrrhia? It's been a topic of a lot of contention in the fandom lately, it would be nice to get a clear answer!

I love that, too, Mike! And I agree with the person who posted previously that I want to know your dog's name! :) Mine is Sunshine -- and we also have a new(ish) (he's two now, but still feels like a puppy!) puppy whose name is Rainbow Dog -- Bo for short! I think using dogs' expressions for the dragons is perfect -- Sunshine has perfected a woeful hungry Clay face, and Bo often looks like Kinkajou when he wants to play. :)

I would read anything and everything by Roald Dahl, or any Encyclopedia Brown book. I also have an enduring love for Tintin. As for now...eep! I don't know! Maybe I should draw less and read more :)

I love Anne MacCaffrey's Pern books for younger readers -- Dragonsong, Dragonsinger, and Dragondrums -- and I was also a big fan of A Wrinkle in Time and its sequels, all the Nancy Drew books, and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (oh, that's not a series, but I loved it!). Now there are SO MANY books I love -- Grace Lin's Where the Mountain Meets the Moon; the Amulet books by Kazu Kibuishi; Tooth and Claw by Jo Walton (an adult book about dragons); the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik (historical fiction about dragons); and the Jinx books by Sage Blackwood...I wish I could list a million more, but I'll stop there!

Hmmm -- for me, the best motivation is a deadline, and a bunch of gently stern emails from my lovely editor! But what really helps me get through writers block is my writing journal, where I complain about everything I think is wrong with the book until I figure out how to fix it. :) And having someone to talk to for brainstorming, like my sister or my very patient husband -- that helps so much, too!

I've long headcanoned the SeaWings as something almost like Atlantis (technologically/scientifically advanced. The research tribe. Intelligent (HECK! They seem to be the only bilingual tribe!), advanced and equal society, etc.) Is this true in any way??

Tui - which tribe did you have the most fun coming up with? one thing i really loved about WoF was discovering how each tribe worked/what their queen was like - it was so much fun in the first arc(and second with WT and EP)! Also seeing the NightWing's past in Darkstalker Legends was amazing!
Also - can you tell us about any more Winglets? i really loved those and it helped pass time in between books - will we get one before Book 11( this year wait is killing me;) ) Thanks!

I have a few questions for you. Most mysterious IceWing themed since they're my favorite. Gosh, THAT was HARD to choose! :)
1. Is there a possibility of an IceWing animus during the time of the dragonets of destiny?
2. Could you tell us more about IceWing customs and their 'cool' culture? Like all of the Gifts and animus dragons?
3. Do you ever plan on releasing a complete guide to the world of Wings of Fire? If so, when, and what about? I really hope everything down to the last rainforest dirt speck caught in Winter's superb talon.
4. Which dragon in the graphic novel do you think turned out the most like how you imagined?
