Which of the (main) Wings of Fire series books have you read the most times?

I stuck to the main series, since I can only do 10 titles, but express your vote for the graphic novel, Darkstalker, or the Winglets in the comments!

Which one have I read the most times? Probably Escaping Peril or Darkstalker! I love Peril's ALL CAPS personality, and I told everyone I knew about Darkstalker after I read it because I think it's such a smart book, and devastating.

Which Wings of Fire book have you read the most times, and why?

Darkstalker. Definitely Darkstalker. I love it because it's so different from the main series and it's in the past. And Darkstalker and Clearsight are so cute! It's long and has an interesting plotline, I like how it switches perspective from Darkstalker to Clearsight to cute Fathom. And I love Fathom and Indigo's antics!

Talons of Power. Turtle is my favourite animus ever, he tries to stay hidden, but has to come out his sheep (no Turtle pun intended) to help his Winglet. Also, I was so happy that Kinkajou woke up, so I re-read it at least 5 times.

The Lost Heir, definitely. I love reading and rereading the Lost Heir because it's kind of like a mystery story: there's all sorts of little tidbits that lead to the secrets revealed at the end, like how Riptide reacted to Tsunami finding him at the beginning of the book, and Anenome enchanting the harness. My second is probably the graphic novel, for character references.

I love this thread and which book made you a FanWing, because there are so many answers. And the book you've read the most =/= to the book that made you a FanWing, and might not even be your favorite book, since some of you reread all of them (or have had one book longer than the rest).

Outside of Wings of Fire, a lot of my favorite reread books are ones that are just comfortable to slip into. I read them when I need to get back into a certain mood or frame of mind.

How do you feel when you finish the WOF book you've reread the most?

I Survived facts!/322160

Well, if we're talking main series, probably Talons of Power. It really gives you that feeling of suspense, and is the absolute perfect penultimate chapter for the second Arc.

If we're talking about just any WoF book on a shelf though, I'd have to go Darkstalker, no competition. I've read Darkstalker countless times more than the other books. Sutherland really outdid herself on this story, and I'd wish she'd do more. Not only does it give you more world-building and a glance into the normal, everyday lives of some of the Dragons on this continent, it also has some serious, beautiful themes to go along with it.

There are so many topics that the Darkstalker book can bring to the table, and in my eyes, it's one of the few books being produced for this demographic that can really make you stop and think about things, and prevent you from looking at things the same way again. There are also some really interesting psychological aspects of it that fascinate me, such as Albatross's road to insanity. It shows there's more to Animus magic that meets the eye. While Darkstalker is the main antagonist of the book, and the second arc as a whole, the Darkstalker book really prevents you from just seeing him as a power-hungry, conniving villain. You read this book, and when you are actually in his PoV, everything makes perfect sense, and it seems to you that what he's about to do is the right thing to do, and then you shift over to someone else's perspective and realise "Oh my gosh, what the heck did he just do??" And even towards the beginning of the book, he's a legitimately good Dragon, but a few significantly placed events, such as Queen Vigilance's attempted assassination of him, leads him down the wrong path towards the end. The book really helps you view him as the tragic hero he's made out to be, which is also why I absolutely hate how Darkness of Dragons ends.

Clearsight's PoV is also truly fascinating, and she's really the character from this book I most identify with. She's calm, logical, and grounded in reality, and for part of the book she keeps Darkstalker in check until he goes down the wrong path towards the end, where we see she has a fiercer side as well. She also gives a fascinating look into the mind of a NightWing seer, and a look into NightWing culture as a whole, which we don't get to see very often.

Fathom's perspective gives us some much needed humility, as well as a character who is very cautious and at the same time is arguably the most impactful character in the book. Not only does he actually create the spell to stop Darkstalker, he also is the one who discovers the spells in invisible ink. This does not mean that Fathom is all good, however, as his arrival and his tale of the SeaWing massacre is one of the things that drives Darkstalker to cast that all important spell on his scales that sends everything downhill.

So, that's my opinion, Darkstalker is my fave book, and if you actually read this whole thing, thank you.

The Book I've probably read the most was Moon Rising. Mostly because of the New Concept of a whole new set of characters while still enjoying the chemistry and inclusion of the older characters as well. Plus it's a story about Dragon School! Which is a great way to start the new series.

Other than Moon Rising, I'd also have to say DarkStalker Legends. I really helped wrap some holes in the story that the main streamline of books didn't include. I absolutely adore Fathom, Indigo, ClearSight and Darkstalker and how each of their characters developed in different ways. It proved that there aren't just plain black and white "bad guys", but it showed that it all depends on perspective and how others see things. At first I saw Darkstalker as a bad dude. Murder is never okay in my book. But as I got to know him as a character I started to learn that he is a lot more than just a murderer. He truly thought he had to do this to save his good future with Clearsight.

Or maybe I just like Nightwings idk. Haha. Anyway, great question Sarah!

Robbie ~~~ ;3

Back in 2013 when I got my copy of the first book, (from a barnes and noble summer reading thing) I read the book and thought it was ok. I read it again in 2014, I think, because I was out of other books to read, and realized that I actually really liked it. I read it again and REALLY liked it. After that I read it about 3 more times, until FINALLY in 2018. I got around to reading the rest of the series. I blew through those books like there was no tomorrow. (the beginning of last month (may) is when I started the second book, I am now on book 10 and 0 (I got 200 pages into book 10 before Darkstalker was delivered, and decided that it would kill my OCD if I read the books in the wrong order that their supposed to be read in))

To answer your question briefly, I have read the first book 6 times, give or take.
