*attempting to open the box on Valentine's day (today) results in a soft click from the latch. The box opens soundlessly on well-oiled hinges.
Within, the first two objects you notice are the eggs. One is small and a deep, rich red. Its smooth surface is shiny as polished silver. The other is the same color as the box it came within- your favorite.
The box is too small to hold much else, you notice- yet it seems to contain much more than its size hints. The second item you find is another box, but this one is shaped as a flower, and it is a warm gold. Inside are many candies, each sweet and luscious. Inscribed on the inside cover is a symbol, and you notice that for each candy taken from the box, a new one appears- and the symbol glows.
In one corner of the box, you come across several small trinkets. A few tiny silken bags are filled with coins, pieces of precious metals, gemstones, polished wooden carvings- many engraved with beautiful, intertwining sigils- and even a few feathers, animal teeth, and other odds and ends. One is filled with pine needles, and another with seeds. More small, engraved objects lie about. A brooch set with your favorite gemstone is there, and other objects of jewerly. All seem to have a magical aura about them. An eyepiece is also there, but it is plainer than the rest- yet the aura about it is strongest.
Furthermore, a soft bag is carefully folded inside. It, too, appears to be your favorite color, but in a much deeper and richer tone. Silken cords tie the top shut, but when you slip your hand in, you find a note pinned inside. Drawing it out, you read it:
Infinite space lies within this bag. Search about.
You poke around and find soft cloth meeting your fingers. When you take it out, you find it is a tiny square of fabric, carefully folded. Unfolding it, you realize it is many times its size- perhaps magically so? It seems to be a blanket, but wrapping it around yourself, it becomes a cloak, warm and soft. Despite its fragile appearance, it is very warm, and it seems to be untearable, waterproof, and dirtproof.
Looking further in the box, you discover a journal, with an image that seems to speak to you on the front cover. You cannot open it, so you trace your finger over the design on the front- and to your surprise, it suddenly opens, and a writing utensil that you favor appears in your hand. Some pages are blank; others are lined.
Beneath the journal is a book with a soft, velvety green cover. Inside are written spells, healing herbs, potions, symbols, and many other useful things- each seeming to call to you.
Next you unearth another box from the voluminous amounts of tissue paper inside. When you open the box, you find several gifts unique to you. Each appears to be magical and tailored to your very needs.
One of the last gifts you stumble across in the box are two sets of clothing. One is formal wear, but it appears comfortable, and it highly appeals to you, setting off your attractive traits. The other is more casual and seems to fit perfectly; it also is appealing and appears to be virtually indestructible.
The very last gift you find is an engraved model of a chest. You pull it out and open the tiny top, and suddenly it becomes much larger, floating gently to the ground. Hundreds of beautiful symbols are engraved upon it, and the wood is your favorite. Opening it, you find an open box of models, some games, a few other items specific to you, and a note...
Good forumer, I see you have discovered my Valentine's gift. I am glad; you have been in need of it of late! I do hope these gifts aid you in your life. You may find it peculiar that they are tailored so closely to your needs, but do not fear. I have not invaded your privacy or "stalked" you as you call it. The magic does that for me, so no secrets are spilled. Although I promise you that a secret told or found by I would not be used against you.
This chest here is indestructible, as you can see, as is the box that it came within. All are gifts to you, and all will aid you at some point, I hope. Though none are meant specifically for war, you may use them as defense against your enemies. I trust you will not spill blood with them. Valentine's Day is a day for peace and love- gifts given upon it, therefore, should also be for peace and love.
If you are interested, I will be hosting a dance tonight in honor of Valentine's Day. This is your invitation. Do enjoy- I will not be there, but perhaps your friends will be!
A joyful Valentine's to you, my dear forumer!
-Cherity (though I go by many names)
*A quick note- if you are not present on Valentine's Day for the box (or if you are banned temporarily) you still recive the box.
