The final book in the Foxcraft trilogy, The Mage, is out in stores today. It's a gorgeous animal fantasy that's rife with magic. Series author, Inbali Iserles, is here with a special message.
THE MAGE is here!
Greetings, animal lovers! I'm so excited that The Mage, the third book in the Foxcraft series, is finally here! We first met our furry friends in The Taken, where fox cub Isla begins her quest to find her missing family. Alone in the cold, gray world of the furless – stalked by red-eyed foes – she meets Siffrin, a beautiful red fox. He tells her about foxcraft, mysterious skills of cunning known only to foxes. The question is, can she trust him?
In The Elders, Isla travels through forests and valleys, where long shadows gather. She makes friends with a gray fox called Haiki and meets others on the road. She learns about a secret society of shape-shifting foxes. Perhaps these wise Elders can help her – but she's going to have to find them first...
The Mage sees Isla encounter her greatest challenge. Lost in the vast Snowlands, she stumbles into the Bishar of Claw. The land is ruled by snow wolves – huge, noble beasts who kill foxes for sport. But the Bishar has troubles of his own. The wolf king is mad, raving of terrible magic, just as rival wolves plot an attack. What has the sickening king to do with Isla's family, or the red-eyed foxes who stalk the meadows where her kind once lived in peace? How are they linked to the hissing yellow cloud that is spreading over the southern valleys, and the Mage who hides in the Deep Forest? As the thump of the gloaming reaches its peak, Isla is forced to confront her darkest fears – and the most terrifying foxcraft of all.
I truly hope you enjoy The Mage, and can't wait to hear what you think.
