I could see something almost white on the horizon line as we got closer to the desert’s edge. I begin to pick up my pace even though I feel as if my body might drop. “Is it snow? Choco? Doesn’t it look like snow? What if it is?” I ask excitedly. I nearly break out into a sprint across the sand. I can see the ebony sky paling above. Dawn is approaching, we must hurry. I slow down after a few minutes, but my excitement hardly hastens. What if that’s my home? The closer I get the more it looks like snow. Then, I slump to the sand and close my eyes. So tired. Must. Not. Stop. I think I start to snore as exhaustion slaps me.
