The cat's gray tabby fur was ruffled and their green eyes wide with fear as they stared at the ground. There were a couple of scratches and scars on his flank, legs, and face. A black feather with a green-blue iridescent tip was tucked behind his ear, and a rose stem was wrapped around their foreleg. Their tail swished back and forth and his claws sheathed and unsheathed as he kept murmuring.
"Maybe we can finally find safety here," the cat murmured, eyes widening and claws sheathed.
In a moment's notice, the cat's eyes narrowed and claws unsheathed again."With a bunch of disorganized cats? I doubt it."
The cat's claws sheathed as he turned to look at someone that wasn't there. "This is our best option. We don't know if... they could find us here."
He switched again, claws unsheathing, eyes narrowing. "They will find us here, though. They'll give us strengh. They'll give us pow- argh, not again!"
He shivered violently, as if their thoughts were contradicting each other and arguing internally. The cat's pupils grew wide again, but their claws were still unsheathed. A sigh came out of his throat as they whispered a couple of words:
"I wish that you never came into my head."
