Scavenger sashimi: a delicacy consisting of very fresh (the freshness is important!) raw scavenger sliced into thin pieces. Served with lettuce.
Scavenger meat loaf: In a bowl, combine finely chopped scavenger, as much eggs as you'd like, onions, milk, and bread OR cracker crumbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste and place in a lightly greased loaf pan or baking dish. Roast well over fire and place tomatoes and brown sugar where needed.
Scavenger empanadas: Cook finely cut scavenger and onion in medium-sized pan, until scavenger is thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in chili powder, salt, and tomatoes. Remove from heat. On ungreased pie sheet, unroll pie crusts. Spoon about 2 cups scavenger mixture onto half of each crust, spreading to about 1/2 inch of the edge. Top with cheese. Bake over fire about 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Cut into wedges and serve.
Chocolate-covered scavengers coming up soon.
