Thx! Glad you like it!
I closed my eyes, allowing my face to go blank. I pulled on the drab grey jacket and wordlessly left. I had to survive. If anyone found out what I was, what I felt, I was dead. I had to blend in, act normal. Act empty.
I felt them shoving at me, nearly knocking me down as they rushed by. I tripped and fell hard on the ground, covering my head so I wouldn't get trampled. A woman gave me an odd look and I couldn't help but laugh at how odd I must look. She couldn't see them. To her, I was alone.
It was much more peaceful then I thought it would be, dieing. Just like falling asleep.
But then I woke up. And someone was there.
"Ah," The hooded figure said. "You must be Death."
Dark. Lots of people fear it, but not me. I love the dark. I met all my greatest friends in the dark, but I can't show them to anyone. People would scream. They think just because we live in the dark, we are evil. Well, wait until you hear about the light.
