Let's be clear nothing on this earth is innocent, loveable is completely innocent, and also wolves aren't gentle first of all a gentle animal would not categorize everything by food, threat, inanimate object, and part of my pack, a gentle animal wouldn't be hasty to catergorize anything unknown by threat or food, yes humans do that a lot, but it's redundant.

I actually agree. I love wolves a lot, I really do, but I can't see them as gentle or innocent as some poeple do. They are dangerous predators and have the capability to kill if they wish to, and they must kill to even live. Yes, they can be graceful and beautiful, but do not forget how fearsome and dangerous they are.

Okay, I’m gonna step in-

Wolves do kill to survive, but so do we. (Well, most of us). Wolves catorigize things, but we do too. We protect our young, and so do wolves. Wolves kill quickly, as to be gentle as they can. Wolves are innocent, because they protect the environment (watch the documentary on how wolves change rivers). Wolves are lovable, because they resemble us so closely.

So, before making statements that you can’t back up, find some evidence to support it.

What evidence do you have that wolves kill quickly?

While they are not made for quick deaths, they do the best they can for a quick death. Yes, the prey often dies from muscle damage, blood loss, or shock. But often, wolves aim for the quickest kill possible as to not risk injury or death to themselves. They will also bite the nose for a more expeditious end.

A wolf pack’s ferocity and apparent brutality is really a defensive measure. It is not rare for a wolf to be seriously injured by flailing hooves and slashing antlers. A well-placed kick could break a wolf’s jaw, rendering it unable to feed itself. It is much safer to harass the prey and let it tire out before moving in close. Far from being a mob scene, a hunt is a masterfully coordinated group effort, well deserving of our admiration. (Credit to “Living For Wolves”)

Let's be clear. I love wolves and I think they should be very respected. However, I do not find them to be creatures that are "gentle" in any sense. Yes, I understand why they kill. Yes, I understand that they are caring and gentle to their fellow wolves.

I just feel that they should not be likened to a cuddly creature in the way that the term "gentle, innocent, and lovable" does. They should be respected as they are.
