WIP Character sheet!
Name: Pamphlet (SCREEEEEEEEEEEEE! Is her natural name)
Nicknames: Pam, Fireserpent, That Writer.
Species: Central American S- ????? (Apparantly someone inked over that bit)
Pronouns: She/her, uses every pronoun in her pseudonyms.
Orientation: Nobody really knows, she mainly focuses on work..
Personality: Pam's a true Joker (Playing card), short-tempered arrogant little badger, and yet she is one of the mot honorable, intelligent, and progressive dragns you could meet. She is a serpent of contradictions, kind, blunt, principle, nefarious, cunning, cocky, and many many more. This can make it difficult for someone to befriend her at first, but she is deply loyal once you do. She is a true wild card who will do anything to protect her papers, her friends, and her beliefs. A witty snarker who replies will confuse you at first, they often make sense deeper in a conversation. These contradictions can become apparant in a simple conversation, where she can seem to be changing sides on an opinion, when she is actually just being herself. Even with these flaws, she is quite progressive, hiring those at-risk, those who are poor, and those who are minorities any paying them well, and with respect, regardless of creed or species. She hates being misunderstood, and doesn't like it when others judge her by species first. She is aware of her contradictory personality, and will admit sometimes she is insecure about it. No matter what though, in arrogance or insecurity, Pamphlet is an honorable dragon who truly believes in the right thing in the end.
Species!Appearance: Pam's species is a dark blood red (Although dragon blood is mainly dark blue/black, with the exception of certain species), with a snakelike appearance (I can't decide if they have legs, right now, they're a hexapod). What makes these serpents different, are a fluffy feathery crest like that of a cockatoo starting at its peak on their head and necks, and extending to the tip of their tails. This crest is not only expressive, but also hides long sharp spines that are used for defense against anything that comes too close to their back. Another hidden feature is that beneath two pairs of feathery crests, one at the hips, and one at the tail tips, hide finned spines used for manuvering in their natural rainforest habitat. If one of the four fins is lost, the dragon becomes clumsy and unable to make sharp turns, two fins make the dragon unable to fly at all. This is due to the short wings of this species, which are less built for stamina than manuvering, like the Harpy Eagle that shares some of its range. A feature that neither their bird or snake neighbors have are two ramlike horns that curl around the back of their serpentine heads (Note: While most of the head is like a snake, they have a bony crest covering their foward-facing eyes like an eagle or therapod). These horns serve the purpose of protecting the dragons heads, like the spines on thier necks. The eyes are a bright, like their feathered wings, but a firey color, with blue eyes being recessive. To support the eyes in sensing in the dark forests, these dragons also have pit sensors on their beaks and snout, directly above the mouthline, and a Jacobson's organ completed with a forked tongue to detect prey easier. (Note Two: They have weaker hearing when compared to most dragons (This species can barely hear dog whistles), but are highly sensitive to vibrations)
Individual!Appearance: Pamphlet is (in)famous for the fact her wings are covered by enchanted notes, written words, newspapers, posters, and, of course, pamphlets. Not only that, a few also fly around her body. Most of then appear to be from the 1700-1800's in age and type, although a few papers far older, and far younger, can be seen amongst her wings. You cannot find her without them, in fact, no one has even seen the color of her wing, hip fin, and tail fin feathers. Other than that, Pam has a slight dark to light grandient on her crest, starting from a dark burnt parchment color to a flame colored golden-orange. She also has a blue ring in the center of her eyes, giving a firestorm aesthetic appearance inside them. Like her crest, her spines are long with a slight black-to-dark-orange color. She's around 23 ft, with a 47 ft wingspin, which is actually a large size for her species, which must have a small wingspan in order to fly in-between trees. The most characteristic feature, however, is her smirk, which is even more pronounced than average for her species, which is always smiling like their fellow serpents.
Species!Abilities: These dragons are quick and agile, preferring the ability to twist and turn instead of soaring for prolonged periods of time. They can also spit venom that feels somewhat like fire. They can fly quickly, if not for long. They can sense heat and use their Jacobson's organ to smell with impeccable accuracy. Their spines and curved horns are also useful in protecting their head and neck. Their teeth are curved to prevent anything from getting out, and their talons are sharp and deadly, like their Harpy Eagle neighbors. After that, they have normal hexapod/amphithere abilities.
Individual!Abilities: Pamphlet is an astonishing writer, from her penmanship, to her voice, it is impeccable and like no other writer in history. She prefers to use this gift to write newspapers. She's a good debator, if not verbally. A pretty skilled rap-battler, and she can hold her own in a physical battle too.
Species!Flaws: They can't hear all that well when compared to other dragons. This species is also not built for stamina, and will be gasping for breath after a certain amount of time flying or slithering/running. They don't do well in cold or arid environments, due to living in humid rainforests. Other than that, they have normal hexapod/amphithere flaws.
Individual!Flaws: Pam is arrogant and obnoxious at times, and can be a bit manipulative at times. Pamphlet can and will blow up if you question the integrity of her writing, along with questions of her intelligence due to being a dragon. She can also leak sensetive information in her newspaper if you mess with her or her friends, even if the remarks were minor. She isn't a good speaker, due to anatomy, as has to communicate curtly in English. Pam also struggles with talking for an extended period of time, due to the way she communicates, which is like a parrot. Beyond that, she is possessive of her papers (and her friend), and will get very upset if someone harms a single one.
Backstory: No one knows where she came from, she just showed up one day and started writing her own newspaper. The only thing known is that she normally lives in Central America...
Pets: Her, er, papers can be considered pets.. they are magical, and their probably sentient too.. she does have a mockingbird named Pen though.
Other: She writes, she fights, and she definitely bites. May or may not have been in the Infamous Prank of 1804..
