Tsunami was there when Auklet hatched. In fact, she was the first living creature Auklet ever saw when she hatched. But I don’t see any signs of imprinting...

also, most reptiles don't do any form of parenting, which means imprinting would be a useless behavior to evolve

I'm guessing the tribes are archosaurs, so they are somewhere related to crocodiles, dinosaurs, and birds.

 

Based off the evidence about all three. I'm guessing dragon tribes do imprint on one another, or at least the very first thing that feeds them.
